Announcing the MULTIGP TRIPLE Sim Tournament

Join us this week as MultiGP hosts the first-ever MultiGP Triple Sim Tournament in VelociDrone to win your share of $600 in store credit at RaceDayQuads.com!

Based on the success of the 2019 MultiGP Series’s addition of “Sport Class”, MultiGP is looking to expand engagement with even more pilots of varying skill sets, and is hosting a Simulator Tournament featuring the Pro’s, Sport Class pilots and now even Rookies.  Tuesday and Wednesday will be comprised of an open leaderboard bash, Thursday Night will be Brackets and Friday Night a Round Robin to decide which 9 pilots will earn the prizes.

Stage 1 (Leaderboard Bash):

Starting at9am EST Tuesday June 9th, 2020 through 11:59pm EST Wednesday June 10th, 2020 pilots will be invited to post their best time on the leaderboard on the official MultiGP Triple track.  Unlimited opportunities await to continue grinding the leaderboard until the deadline, and no matter what, everyone will progress to Stage 2!

Stage 2 (Brackets):

Thursday June 11th at 8pm EST Stage 2 commences.  This is where the field of qualified pilots are divided into 3.  The top third will be deemed “Pro” and will compete in “Chase-the-Ace” Double-Elimination Brackets down to the top-6.  The next third will be deemed “Sport” and will compete in “Chase-the-Ace” Double-Elimination Brackets down to the top-6, and the remaining third will be deemed “Rookie” and will compete in “Chase-the-Ace” Double-Elimination Brackets down to the top-6.

The brackets will be based on the entire field that qualified, split into the three class divisions.  For example, If there are 48 pilots, it will be a top-16 in each group, if there are 72 pilots, it will be a top-24 bracket in each group, if there are 108 pilots, it will be a top-36 bracket in each group (with appropriate byes or LCQ’s for lower seeds)

Stage 3 (Round Robin):

Friday, the top-6 in each division will compete in a 1 v 1 Round Robin Tournament.  The MultiGP Triple Round Robin will be broadcast on the MultiGP YouTube Channel starting at 7pm EST.

The first division will be the Top-6 Rookies, competing in their Round Robin, 1 v 1, best of 3 tournament.

At approximately 8:30pm EST the Top-6 Sport Class pilots will compete in their Round Robin, 1 v 1, best of 3 tournament.

And then the stage will be set at approximately 9:30pm EST for the Top-6 Pro Class pilots to compete in their Round Robin, 1 v 1, best of 3 tournament.

Just like MultiGP Races in the field, the pilots may select any drone they’d like to fly (i.e. “Open”), though the format in VelociDrone will be Class Type: Single, Format 3 Laps.  During the seeding process (Stage 1), MultiGP reserves the right to promote any pilot as they see fit to a higher class division based on all pertinent data available to them at VelociDrone.com, MultiGP.com, in the SIM and any leaderboards (i.e. no sandbagging allowed).
