FRIDAY

  • Pilots Arriving and Setup on Site
  • Pilots welcome to come to the site and and help setup.
  • Pilot Check in 5-7pm

SATURDAY

  • 8am-10am Pilot Check in
  • 10am-7pm Qualifying packs using ZippyQ
  • 8pm Possible Meet and Greet

SUNDAY

  • 9am -11am, Next 16 Pilot Brackets
  • 11:30am-12:00pm Alumni Race
  • 12:30pm-2:30pm Top 16 Pilot Race
  • 2:45pm Awards Ceremony
  • 3:00pm Track Tear Down 

This year’s event will be hosted by the University of North Carolina, at Chapel hill and the Carolina Drone Lab (CARDNL). 
This is a dedicated drone flying field and remote ID will not be required.  You will be required to have AMA membership to fly. If you are a registered club, you can get a $25 membership. There is also a 3 month membership for $19.99. 

We are currently working on a discount hotel rate for teams.

The closest airport to fly into is the Raleigh Durham Airport.  

Ticket Prices will be $50 per pilot flying.*  
Ticket sales will end March 28th.  Spectators and non flying team members are free and encouraged!

Please also note on the ticket if you have any team members that would like to volunteer for setup, or during the event.

*It is past the T-shirt cutoff, so tickets will not include a T-shirt.

Site Information:

  • The field will have power to charge batteries.
  • We will provide a large Pit tent, but if you have your own and are driving you are welcome to bring more.
  • We will have on site porta john.
  • The ground is mostly sand so if it does rain, we will try and get in as much flying as possible.
  • There will be plenty of on site parking available.
  • The site does not have lights in the area we are flying.

LIVESTREAM

MultiGP is the largest professional drone racing league in the world. Because of this, MultiGP hosts frequent competitive gatherings and casual events within its extensive network. The Organization currently has over 30,000 registered pilots in addition to 500 active chapters worldwide. MultiGP nurtures its Chapters by providing tools, guidance and community support. Due to this structure drone racing is fun, organized and rewarding for pilots, Chapter Organizers and spectators.
