MultiGP to Host Drone Racing & Flight Line at One of the

Nation’s Largest Model Aviation Gathering

MultiGP Joe Nall 2017

MultiGP Drone Racing is proud to announce that they will host and manage the FPV flight line at Joe Nall week from May 17th-20th. One of the largest radio controlled fly-ins in the world, Joe Nall week is expected to attract thousands of pilots to the Triple Tree Aerodrome in Woodruff, South Carolina. With a tradition that goes back to 1983, this annual event was renamed after Joe Nall in 1990. Attendants from all 50 states, and over a dozen international locations, will enjoy a week of radio controlled aviation excitement, with craft of all shapes and sizes taking to the sky.

“We invite the curious, the enthusiast and the seasoned RC pilots to connect with us, fly with us and compete with us. This is a great opportunity to get an intimate and up-close perspective on what makes this emerging portion of the hobby so exciting,” said Chris Thomas, Founder of MultiGP.

MultiGP will setup a full-scale drone racing challenge course with air gates and flags designed for fun and competition. Throughout the day fun-fly participants will be given an opportunity to try their hand at FPV free flight above the tree line (fixed wing/multirotor) or running the challenge course below the tree line (multirotor). Each day a managed practice and/or qualifier will be run for those entered into the “MultiGP Drone Racing Challenge at Joe Nall” which will be held Saturday afternoon. Friday night will also be an evening of twilight LED-lit fun fly in spirit of the Joe Nall tradition of RC night flying.

The Joe Nall Week festival will take place from May 13th – 20th, and is held at the Triple Tree Aerodrome, 330 Mary Hanna Road, Woodruff, SC 29388.
