The 2017 MutiGP National Championship is just a couple of months away, and FPV pilots from all across the nation are competing hard in the Regional Series to earn their invitation to the Big Show. But did you know that you can also earn a spot in the Championships by qualifying at your local MultiGP race chapter’s UTT events? There are 30 spots up for grabs to MultiGP pilots who have what it takes on the UTT tracks.
Here is how the UTT qualifications work:
There are up to 30 spots that are up for grabs to pilots who meet the UTT requirements (two distinct UTT times on two different UTT tracks that are both under qualification thresholds). You can secure one of these 30 spots today by purchasing a UTT placeholder ticket. This non-refundable ticket will secure your spot in the UTT bracket at the National Championship as long as you meet the UTT requirements. When it comes time for us to choose the 30 pilots we will go through this placeholder list from top to bottom and choose all the pilots who meet the requirements. Lock your spot in today!
30 pilots will be allowed to enter an on-site qualifier for the 2017 National Championship by entering through the UTT qualifications, here are the requirements to be a UTT qualified pilot:
- A pilot must not be qualified for the championship in any other way.
- Pilots must qualify by placing two distinct UTT times on two UTT tracks under the following thresholds (Please see full details of UTT rules, times are subject to review):
- UTT 1 < 11.5 seconds
- UTT 2 < 8.5 seconds
- UTT 3 < 8.5 seconds
- UTT 4 < 10 seconds
- UTT 5 < 7 seconds

Tickets will be available for purchase on July 1st at 3PM EST. This non-refundable placeholder ticket will be used to decide which 30 pilots are allowed in through the UTT qualification. The placeholders will be processed in the order that they are purchased. A placeholder ticket does not guarantee your entry into the 2017 National Championship. Once the last regional final has been completed MultiGP will issue invitations to the qualified UTT pilots.
